Compose Operation Platform (COP) is a comprehensive, turn-key solution for centralized operations management. It is built upon the robust fault management capabilities of IBM Concert Operate (formerly known as Cloud Pak for AIOps and Netcool Operations Insight. The solution is complemented with capabilities for advanced data handling with Elastic, and powerful network and application observability provided by IBM SevOne and Instana.
COP represents Compose IT’s specialized approach for managing network fault and performance operations using IBM technologies. We have used our experience working with many customers in different industry domains and made a solution to manage what we see is important, adding features to enable flexible and efficient management of this platform over time. COP is not just a software solution, it has its own data model and processes in combination with the right tools to allow the solution to be managed effectively.

To differentiate our proprietary software from IBM’s native products, we offer a suite of purpose-built modules known as the Compose Collection. These modules are seamlessly integrated on top of IBM’s platform, extending their capabilities to streamline, automate, and enhance operational workflows in fault and performance management domains.
If desired, in addition to installation, we offer complete operation and maintenance of COP in addition to support for the included components.
Thanks to its modular architecture, COP allows customers to adopt only the components that best fit their specific operational needs — delivering flexibility, efficiency, and measurable value in the network operations.

Error handling, the ability to aggregate events, from virtually any imaginable source and then normalize, deduplicate, correlate, and add operational and business context to each event is at the heart of the Compose Operation Platform. Through this, we can thereby automatically prioritize and filter out what is important.
IBM Concert Operate (Netcool) is very powerful and was originally built to handle massive amounts of events in telecom environments and can scale both horizontally and vertically to accommodate the most demanding environments.
We support solutions today in diverse environments ranging from traditional IT, telecom and physical infrastructure all the way to large IoT solutions. Although most of our customers use COP for IT and telecom-related environments, we also have customers that are use it to manage events and alerts from things like entry systems, environmental systems, process monitoring etc.

COP is very flexible. All fields, filters, views and attributes can be customized and adapted to your needs and your way of working.
This flexibility allows, among other things, that a new source system can be added without affecting the way of working and keep the sources as simple as possible. This is made possible thanks to a design where your business logic is handled by the Compose Operation Platform, COP, and not in the source systems themselves.
Besides having an established best practice for implementing COP, we want to emphasize that the solution is highly flexible and can easily be adapted to your specific needs and requirements.

Just as the architecture and usability are flexible, so is security. Everything from encryption of communications and data at rest, individual or role-based access to audit trails and context-based alarm access will be tailored to your needs.
