Dynamic Event Manager (DEM) 6.0 Launches with Advanced Event Routing, Enhanced Security Controls and more

Dynamic Event Manager (DEM) 6.0 Launches with Advanced Event Routing, Enhanced Security Controls, and more

May 2026 — The latest release of DEM, version 6.0, marks one of the most significant updates in the platform’s history, introducing a fully modernized user interface, expanded automation capabilities, and major improvements in security, analytics, and system integration.

The release delivers a complete frontend transformation alongside substantial architectural enhancements designed to improve usability, operational visibility, and scalability for enterprise event management teams.

Modern Frontend Built for Performance and Usability

At the center of DEM 6.0 is a complete frontend rewrite. The new architecture provides a faster, more responsive user experience while establishing a modern foundation for future development.

Users will immediately notice a redesigned interface featuring improved navigation, enhanced accessibility, and greater visual consistency throughout the platform.

A new Unified Dashboard serves as the operational hub for administrators and operators, providing real-time event statistics, KPI metrics, and system insights directly from the Home page.

The release also introduces persistent user preferences, allowing users to save and restore personalized configurations across key areas of the application, including Rules, Omnibus Views, Maintenance, and Routing interfaces.

Unified Event Routing Becomes a Core Platform Feature

DEM 6.0 brings Event Routing directly into the main application, replacing fragmented workflows with a fully integrated routing framework.

Organizations can now create sophisticated routing profiles and rules based on event sources, severity levels, event properties, and custom matching criteria. To reduce deployment risks, administrators can validate routing behavior against live events before activating new configurations.

The result is greater flexibility and confidence when directing events to the correct operational teams and systems.

New Maintenance Scheduling Capabilities

Maintenance management has been integrated directly into the DEM interface, enabling teams to schedule and manage maintenance windows without external tools.

The new scheduler supports recurring maintenance windows based on weekdays and time periods. During scheduled maintenance, DEM can automatically suppress events, helping operators avoid unnecessary alerts and reducing noise during planned activities.

Dynamic Operations Through Operation Profiles

DEM 6.0 introduces weekdays Operation Profiles, allowing organizations to define time-based operational behavior.

Rules can now adapt automatically based on active schedules, enabling different classifications and processing logic depending on the day of the week or time of day. This capability helps organizations align monitoring behavior with business hours, support models, and operational requirements.

Enhanced Event Classification and Correlation

The platform now supports expanded event classification capabilities, allowing events to be categorized as Normal Events, Log Events, or Group Events.

Classification-specific properties enable more precise rule behavior, while advanced event correlation capabilities help operators identify and group related events, improving visibility into broader incidents and reducing alert fatigue.

Knowledge Base Integration Improves Operational Efficiency

DEM 6.0 strengthens operational workflows through deeper Knowledge Base integration.

Users can browse, create, edit, and manage knowledge articles directly within the platform. Rules can also be linked to relevant documentation, providing operators with immediate access to troubleshooting information and operational guidance during incident response.

Significant Security Enhancements

Security receives a major upgrade in DEM 6.0 with the introduction of granular rule-level access control.

Administrators can restrict visibility and modification rights based on event sources, rule groups, or individual rule assignments. The platform also supports integration with Active Directory and LDAP groups, enabling organizations to leverage existing identity and access management structures.

For environments requiring additional flexibility, local security groups can be created to provide fine-grained authorization controls.

A new GUI permission model further enhances security through role-based access management, allowing administrators to assign Read, Write, Change, and Delete permissions for groups. Access can also be restricted to specific platform features such as Rules, Maintenance, Routing, and other functional areas.

Expanded Monitoring and Analytics

Operational visibility has been significantly improved through enhanced statistics collection and historical trend tracking.

The new dashboard displays real-time KPIs, rule counts by source, and classification metrics, while historical reporting capabilities provide insight into system behavior over time. These enhancements help organizations identify trends, measure operational effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making.

Comprehensive API for External Integrations

DEM 6.0 introduces a standardized, REST-like API framework designed to simplify integration with third-party tools and automation platforms.

The API includes more than 80 backend actions with consistent request and response formats, enabling integration through PowerShell, Python, curl, and other automation technologies.

To support developers and administrators, the release includes extensive documentation covering all available endpoints, organized by functional domain and supplemented with practical implementation examples.

Improved Performance, Reliability, and Upgrade Experience

The release resolves all reported issues from version 5.4.1 while delivering performance optimizations across both frontend rendering and backend query processing.

Additional improvements to error handling and recovery mechanisms enhance overall platform reliability and operational resilience.

Organizations upgrading from DEM 5.4.1 can expect a seamless migration experience. Existing rules and configurations remain fully compatible, no manual data migration is required, and all rule data is preserved during the upgrade process.

Looking Ahead

With its modernized architecture, integrated routing engine, advanced security framework, and expanded automation capabilities, DEM 6.0 represents a major step forward for enterprise event management.

The release positions the platform to support increasingly complex operational environments while delivering a more intuitive experience for administrators, operators, and integration developers alike.
