AI Operator v3.0: Faster Scenario Design and More Flexible Automation

Compose Collection AI Operator v3.0 is now available, introducing a redesigned user experience and a broad set of new capabilities for building, testing, and managing event-driven automation.

The new release makes it easier for operations teams to move from an idea to a working automation scenario, while providing more flexibility and control over how events are processed and acted upon.

Build and test scenarios faster

AI Operator v3.0 introduces a new Home page with improved operational statistics, giving users a clearer overview of their environment. The Settings area has also been expanded to allow teams to create custom Omnibus views tailored to their operational needs.

Scenario development is now more efficient. Authors can test scenarios before enabling them in production, helping validate automation and reduce the risk of unexpected behavior. Components can also be added or edited directly from the topology view, with improved connections making complex scenarios easier to design and understand.

SQL syntax validation provides immediate feedback when configuring database queries, while the new XinY logical decision enables scenarios to determine whether a defined number of events has occurred within a specified time interval.

More powerful automation

AI Operator v3.0 significantly expands the available automation actions.

Scenarios can now:

  • Execute Impact JavaScript policies
  • Create synthetic events
  • Query Omnibus
  • Query history databases

Webhook actions have also been enhanced with support for custom headers and attributes, providing greater flexibility when integrating AI Operator with external systems.

In addition, IF conditions can now be applied to actions and feedback, allowing automation to be executed only when specific conditions are met. This gives scenario authors greater control over complex event-driven workflows.

Greater control over sensors

Sensors have been enhanced with several new options for controlling when and how events are processed.

Users can configure sensors to process only new events, restrict execution to defined start and stop hours, and test sensors directly within the application. These capabilities make it easier to fine-tune event processing and ensure sensors behave as expected before being put into operational use.

Improved administration and access control

AI Operator v3.0 also introduces more flexible security management.

Administrators can create local security groups and assign read, write, change, and delete permissions to individual components, both on created local groups or AD/LDAP groups. This makes it possible to better align access to AI Operator with organizational roles and responsibilities.

A more flexible AI Operator

With AI Operator v3.0, Compose Collection brings together a faster scenario design experience, more powerful automation capabilities, improved sensor control, and more granular administration.

The result is a more flexible platform for turning event data into reliable, controlled, and automated operational actions.
